The Federal Tax credit on qualifying HVAC equipment has been extended through December 31, 2011. The 2011 program has been modified from the 2009-2011 program:
- Maximum amount an eligible homeowner may receive has been reduced from $1,500 to $500. This is the total amount a homeowner may claim is for purchases between 2006-2011.
- Homeowners who already claimed of $500+ in previous years may not claim new credits during the 2011 program.
